The Basic Principle Of Hose Skiving Machine

 

 

Hose skiving machines skive hydraulic hoses on the outside, on the inside, or on the outside and inside in a single step.

This device allows internal and external skiving of hydraulic hoses up to a 2" diameter. Hose skiving machine is provided with a fixed tool-holder spindle with only one cutter provided on which is a millimetric ruler which allows setting the skiving distance. Thus, replacement of the pin and adjustment of position of the tool according to the diameter of the hose to be skived is required.

Insert the hose into the hose skiving machine, push the hose forward step by step. The axis is stationary, motor drives the knives pole rotating. When the hose move forward, the exterior rubber is peeled by the knives. Pull the hose out after the work finish.

 

Before power on the skiving machine, please put the peeling axis into the fitting axis collar and fasten it firmly. Then fix the knives on the knife pole, and adjust knives to a normal position.

 

Warning: Check the screws and fitting and keep them in good condition status. After all these works are confirmed, start the peeling machine, then try to skive one hose. If the rubber could not be skived completely, adjust the hand of knives to the center, so as to the knives could skive more deep. If the hose is spiral type steel wires hose, start the switch according to the direction of steel wires. The turning direction of the knives are accord with the turning direction of the switch.
